Roaring Forties Rubs, established in 2005, get their name from the amazing sailing ships of old that used to bring exotic spices to Tasmanian shores in the 1800s and also to the famous Tasmanian winds that wrecked many of those ships on our shores.
Roaring forties carry on the old sailor's legacy, by creating their sensational spice blends using those very same exotic spices that were brought on those ships. Only nowadays with a little extra flair from the Tasmanian Mountain Pepper Berries. That is a mix that is sure to bring any dish to life.
Each one of the blends from Roaring Forties has many different uses limited only by your imagination. Some of the recommended uses are the Spicy Carolina BBQ is the perfect addition to your favourite thick cut of steak, Lightly sprinkled on top to give that peppery zing and a depth I cannot describe. It is best tried for yourself. A Perfect blend of Cumin, Spanish paprika, fiery Cayenne Pepper and Native Tasmanian Mountain Pepper, creating a real southern Smokey BBQ flavour.
